The Wise Money Process

Are you ready for a great adventure?

Our Wise Money Process is designed to integrate the many areas of your financial life to help you become a better steward by growing what you own and reducing what you owe. We start by taking the time to understand your values and why money matters to you, and then we work as a team to put a plan in motion to help you reach your goals—whatever they may be.

Step 1: Imagining the possibilities.

Imagining where you can go is half the fun. Your financial plan is built on one thing: your own dream for the future. That’s why we start by exploring where you want to go. What’s most important to you? How do you want to spend your days—both before and after retirement? What’s on your wish list? If money were no object, how would you change your life today? Next, we’ll look at what is potentially holding you back from making those dreams come true. What are your fears about money? Does the way you’re living today support the way you want to live tomorrow? What needs to change to help ensure your long-term success?

Step 2: Preparing for the journey.

The best adventures are built on careful planning. That’s as true for a camping trip as it is for your finances. To make sure you have the tools you need to get where you’re going, we’ll look at your current assets to see if you already have what you need to support your dreams, or if we need a different strategy going forward. We’ll look at the 6 key areas of financial planning to see what’s been addressed already and what needs attention today. We’ll cover all the bases to be sure you have a savings plan that supports your goals, the financial armor to protect against risk, and a plan to help minimize taxes to keep your assets where they belong: in your pocket. And if you need a small tune up—or a large one—we can tackle that too.

Step 3: Connecting the dots.

Even the simplest adventure can have hundreds of moving pieces. To be sure they’re all working together to support your goals, our team will meet together to analyze the big picture—and dig down into every detail that lies underneath. Working together, we’ll discuss challenges, share ideas, and work to be sure every aspect of your financial life is working in concert to create the best possible path toward your future.

Step 4: Reviewing the roadmap.

Once we’ve created a plan that we believe is great for you—one that puts your financial “house” in order and addresses your values, your needs, and your goals—we’ll walk you through every detail. We’ll explain the strategy and how each piece works together. How your taxes impact your investment choices. How your insurance impacts your retirement plan. How what you spend and save today colors your financial future. If anything doesn’t sit quite right, we’ll rework it until you’re confident your plan addresses every aspect of your finances.

Step 5: Taking action.
Now is the time to get your plan on the road. Our team will take the lead to implement your plan as quickly and efficiently as possible. And to help you stay on top of every aspect of your plan moving forward, we’ll get you all set up on your own financial management website, WealthVision360. By the end of Step 5, you will be well on your way to the joy, relaxation, and peace of mind that comes with having a sound financial plan in place that is based on your values and is designed to work for you while you live the life you love.

Step 6: Adapting to change.

Now that you’re able to move forward with confidence about your finances, we will continue to work with and for you to be sure your plan stays on track. As life changes, we’ll adapt your plan as needed. Plus, we’ll start focusing on your endgame, including everything from a tax-efficient withdrawal strategy to ensure your savings is there to support you—no matter how long you live—to a wealth transfer plan designed to retain as much of your wealth as possible for the next generation. For you and your entire family, we’re at your service to help provide a clear, comfortable, and fruitful financial journey.
