Insurance Planners

Insurance is a vital part of any Financial Life Plan. Yet in most cases, insurance is handled completely separately. That means there’s an inherent disconnect between the financial house you’re building and what you’re protecting.

At Korhorn Financial Group, our insurance team works in concert with our financial planning and tax planning colleagues to provide recommendations based on every aspect of your financial life. By offering a deep level of insurance expertise in-house, we’re able to carefully align this important piece of the planning process with your financial big picture to help smooth your path to a more secure future.

Tara Perkins

Corporate Accountant

In 2006, when the last of Tara’s four children had completed their homeschooling, she was ready for full-time employment. A family member who is a friend of KFG suggested that her 20-year part-time experience with tax prep and QuickBooks accounting might be the perfect fit. KFG was in the process of enlarging the Tax and Business department, and Tara was an ideal addition. Tara says she never imagined that an employer like KFG existed, referencing the core value of serving God, and the subsequent service to clients, and, without equal, the workplace culture

Over time, KFG Internal Accounting has become Tara’s foremost role as well as supporting our tax team. Tara serves KFG from the Niles location, where she and her late husband, Wayne, have lived for several decades.

Tara continues to enjoy cookouts with friends and family. In what seems to her like a fleeting time at KFG, her family has grown to include kids’ spouses and four grandchildren. She volunteers as a Sunday School teacher at her church and serves at the local Senior Center each spring. She loves reading and watching Pride and Prejudice (the long version, of course!).
